Taylor Swift Drops It…In Print

She’s known for her theatrical live shows and her out-of-the-box marketing. Love her music or not, you have to admit that Taylor Swift knows how to package her wares.

And now, she’s poised to drop something pretty incredible along with her upcoming November LP release of Reputation at Target.

“Also dropping on Nov. 10 will be two magazines which boast, according to a release, 72 pages of personal poetry and photos as well as artwork by Swift, handwritten lyric sheets, outtakes from the ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ music video shoot, and a poster,” writes Madison Vain in Entertainment Weekly.

Given the average age of Taylor’s fan base, it’s clear this brand, for one, understands the appeal of a good print magazine to the younger set. Younger readers are spending more time with print magazines, and savvy brands like Taylor Swift get it.

It’s also clear she gets the “always do your own thing” mantra when it comes to building a brand.
