“A beautiful book … that you can tear to pieces.” This has got to be one of the coolest books we’ve seen in a very long time.
Thanks to David Griner of AdWeek for sharing this tidbit: The Biblia Definitva Do Churrasco not only tells you how to create an authentic Brazilian grilling experience, it actually provides the tools to make it happen.
“Barbecue chefs and amateur pitmasters alike know that nothing truly useful ever comes out of a cookbook. But here’s one hell of an exception,” Griner writes, noting that the Bible of Barbecue, from Tramontina’s JWT Brazil line of barbeque products, “is made to be used or destroyed in the process of creating an authentic Brazilian grilling experience.”
“One thick sheet shatters into chunks of charcoal, while another lights the fire and yet another fans the flame. Other pages work as an apron, sharpen knives, wrap meat, act as cutting boards and even serve the finished dish,” Griner writes.
Think you may have finally found the perfect Father’s Day gift for the men in your life? Unfortunately, it’s not available mass market.
“Only a few ‘master barbecue chefs’ received the books, though the agency is creating a simplified version to be sold in [Brazilian] stores,” says Griner.
Oh man, am I hungry.
