This week’s font collections come from the wildly creative minds at Mikrojihad Inc. in Indonesia. They specialize in “unformal” typefaces with a hand-lettered feel, and the results are striking.
One of our favorites is Blackfat Script, a bold font family that brings a distinctly modern edge to the bold retro script. Another keeper is Ababil, a highly flourished slightly grunge serif script that will add the drama to any piece, including tattoo renders and t-shirt designs; the flourishes are that artistic. I also like Aisha, a classic and old-style typeface with a Victorian taste, perfect for posters, logos and titles.
While they aren’t free, these collections are super affordable and will make a good addition to your kit.
